How publishing works

Publishing Process

The pathway from journal selection and manuscript preparation to peer review, production, continuous publication, and maintenance of the scholarly record.

Timelines vary by manuscript, discipline, reviewer availability, revision needs, and integrity checks. ANVA Journals does not promise a fixed review time or acceptance.

Choose a Journal

Compare aims, subjects, methods, and boundaries. A manuscript may be desk rejected if its central contribution does not fit; no transfer process is promised.

Manuscript Preparation

Select an available article type, prepare files and metadata, and complete authorship, funding, conflicts, ethics, consent, data, preprint, and AI declarations as applicable.

Submission

Submit through the official system. Submission creates no promise of review, acceptance, or publication.

Submission & Technical Checks

Staff check required files, readable content, author information, declarations, and basic policy compliance. A returned submission has not been editorially rejected.

Initial Editorial Assessment

Editors assess fit, originality, presentation, reporting, ethics, and integrity. Unsuitable work may be declined without external review.

Peer Review

Qualified reviewers assess methods, evidence, reporting, interpretation, relevance, and contribution under the single-blind model.

Editorial Decision

An authorized editor considers the manuscript, reviews, and policies independently of APC payment or commercial considerations.

Revision Where Required

Authors respond point by point, identify changes, and explain respectfully where a suggestion was not adopted. Revision does not guarantee acceptance.

Further Review

A revision may return to previous or additional reviewers. More than one round may be required and no fixed review time is promised.

Acceptance

Formal acceptance is the scholarly decision that the manuscript may proceed, subject to completion of publication requirements.

Publication Requirements

Authors complete permissions, licence, declarations, source files, and article-specific production information.

APC Where Applicable

There is no submission fee. Only after acceptance, the APC is ₹3,999 for an India billing location or US$149 outside India, subject to approved waivers, discounts, exceptions, and applicable taxes.

Production

The accepted work may undergo copyediting, typesetting, figure and metadata checks, and preparation of accessible publication files.

Author Proofs

Authors check production accuracy and answer queries. Proofs are not a route for silent material changes to accepted scholarly content.

Final Publication

The Version of Record is published online after editorial and production completion and organized into the appropriate volume or issue under continuous publication.

DOI and Metadata Where Applicable

Article metadata and a DOI, where assigned, appear with the record. Publication does not guarantee indexing, citations, discovery, or impact.

Post-Publication Record

Material errors or concerns use linked corrections, expressions of concern, retractions, or other transparent notices; the record is not silently altered.

Withdrawal

Before publication, withdrawal may follow an author request accepted by the journal or a justified legal, ethics, integrity, or process reason.
