Publishing policies

Authorship

Authorship represents substantive contribution, approval, and accountability.

These policies apply across ANVA Journals unless an explicitly stated journal or article-specific requirement applies. Last updated: 1 September 2026.

Credit and accountability

Every author should make a substantive contribution, approve the submitted and published content, and accept appropriate accountability. Other contributions should be acknowledged with permission and described accurately.

Authorship changes

Addition, removal, or reordering requires explanation and documented agreement from those affected. Editors may request evidence.

ORCID

ORCID identifiers are encouraged where available. Providing or displaying one does not imply mandatory authentication or organizational integration.

AI tools

AI tools cannot be authors or co-authors. Human authors remain responsible. See the AI policy.
